I hope so at some point, even if I have to jailbreak it. Apps like pandora are useless IMO. Who wants to sit there staring at it? Needs to be able to run in the background while you are online.

4.0 should be a big step forward for Apple, can't wait to see what kind of madness they've conjured up... maybe even FLASH SUPPORT!!!

It should be interesting to see what happens on Thursday. I honestly can't wait...

Few things I am looking for:

Multitasking
Dashboard like app (stocks, weather, calculator, etc)
Folders for organization

Those things alone is why I jailbreak, give me that and I am happy.

So the new iPhone 4.0 will support true multi tasking and we will be able to upgrade our iPads to do the same? Sweet. When?

So, just trying to get this straight... OS 4.0 should be something that everyone with an iPad should be able to upgrade to for free?

If I remember correctly the issue causing apple to charge for iPod touch upgrades was fixed/changed so that they can be free from then on. That would/should include the iPad. 4.0 and beyond unless Apple wanted to charge for it but I doubt that would happen cause it would fragment the app store between those that updated and those that didn't.

Of course this is all speculation until apple tells us how it will really be.

It has 512 RAM, doesn't it? If a desktop can multitask with that RAM, why wouldn't an iPad be able to?
