Will the iPhone 5c 8GB Be Enough for Me?

So I'm considering the purchase of a used iPhone 5c with 8GB storage. The phone is only going to be used for one month annually during the month of August as a low-end backup between iPhone upgrades. Only critical content and apps will be installed on it.

The question is if 8GB is going to be enough. With the release of iOS 9 coming soon, I wonder how that affects the amount of actual usable storage space.

By my research and calculations, I'm finding that the 8GB model should just barely be enough.

Between apps, books, data/documents, and other, the total space this occupies is 6379.9 MB. A few article reports I've seen have said that the actual useable amount of storage space on the 8GB model is around 6.5 GB. But with iOS 9 coming, maybe that will change?

    What do you think?

Should be actually more free space with iOS 9 so you should be fine. Unless your usage patterns change.
