Reports says they will have the usual iPhone 7S and 7S Plus and a premium model the iphone 8. It says it will have a 5.8" screen. Which is quite big for users who uses 4" and 4.7".

Do you guys think they will release a smaller premium model?

I think we will see a 4.7, 5.0 and 5.5 inch. I don't believe the 5.8 will happen. Most seem to appreciate the middle ground for the 5.0 inch iPhone. I love the 5.5 iPhone size. It was a small adjustment, but easily worth it to me.

Recently, I've had a lot of mistyped stuff on this 6s...all on account of loosely holding the phone while using it one-handed.

I have no interest in a wider phone...the width is more of the issue here than anything else.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Do you also type 2 handed?

Nope, always one-handed...and its always the farthest keys that are mistyped.

I would maybe consider a 4" phone on the next go-around, but the SE is a little old-tech (on the FFC) even if the battery is superb and likely won't be refreshed this Sept when I'll be shopping for a new phone.

I have the SE and 7 plus and can type one handed on both but prefer to use two.

You should convert, it's much quicker once you get used to it.

After using a 5.0" Pixel, I would agree with this as I do appreciate the middle ground as you stated. I'd love to see a 5.0" iPhone with a 1080p screen.

Not happening this year. This is a "S" year and we will see the same iPhone with some new colors and updated internals. Major design change seems to happen next year

I replaced the 5.5 for a 4.7, and I have to say I ll miss that bigger screen, but I d nor go back, not now.. coming from a 5s to 5.5 was just too much. Yes, I miss the 5.5 screen, I miss it a lot to be honest.

I find 5.5 better to use, but it's uncomfortable when you have skinny jeans, or have to sit, drive, and use stairs or take the subway in peak time. I notice My dad have has this behavior of taking out his 5.5 Out of his pockets when sitting, driving, working. It s just in the pocket while walking.

I would love to see a 5" iPhone with 1080p and two cameras.

I wonder if they will have enough space inside the phone for only a 5". They probably want the iPhone 8 to be even thinner with the battery and everything else.

They need to stop trying to make the iPhone thinner. Keep it the size it is now but put a bigger battery in it once they put the OLED screen in it. The battery life on that iPhone will be super slick! The OLED will make the iPhone more efficient and then the better processor AND a bigger battery.... man. One could very easily get 2 full days without charging.

In your opinion. And you have no evidence supporting if this is accurate if this will be a "S" year. At this point, you're telling me you're confirming your beliefs through rumors based off Analysts that have sketchy track records, with guesses about as educated anyone on this forum.

I think @BasicGreatGuy stated it best in post #7.

I don't understand the meaning of 5 inch iPhone when we have a 4.7 inch model, although have you a ligit proof sporting your claim!!! (Not rumors) i personally like this 6 series design i can live with it for two more coming years i don't believe in a all new design until September 2018, this is a "S"year and i am eagerly waiting for my jet black(white if available) iPhone 7S Plus

They will yes but only the 5.8 will be OLED

with no bizels the phone won't be that big at all really.

But It’s now a big phone market now. I don’t think they would have this new design on a smaller device as more will want to go for the bigger device. I think until supply is met for OLED which will be in 2018 I imagine is when the smaller devices will get OLED.

I don't understand what your saying at all. I never made a claim. 5 inch iPhone is rumored. You specifically stated the iPhone 7 will be a S year without supporting your claim.

Second, your previous posts on here are evident you make claims all the time that are erroneous. If I recall correctly, you were the one last year claiming the iPhone 7 was going to be called the "6SE" and telling other forum Members they were wrong on multiple threads . And you see how that worked out for you. It's my opinion of your posts on here.

I don't believe we will see you a 5.8 iPhone with OLED this year. I do believe we will see an all new design with stainless steel and glass backing. Reduced bezels would be nice. Possibly an integrated home button. Once we start seeing supplier leaks, I think we'll have a better idea of what to expect more. Still fairly early.

I believe they will be +/- 5.0" normal flat screen iPhone (whatever it gonna call this year, it is 10th anniversary, no surprise if they just call it as iPhone) and +/- 5.8" curve screen premium iPhone. Both won't increase of phone size but only the screen size.

Unless Apple don't take 10th anniversary as important year for iPhone, then possible a same design same look of iPhone 7s / 7s Plus will appear.

I don't think that would make too much sense for them to release the 7S along side the 8 IMO. I think they'll just go with the 7S this year to buy them more time to really wow everyone with what they have in store for the 8.

Nah 7s and 8 is coming

7s is for people who don't want to spend huge money on the 8.

If apple goes oled i believe they will probably use the exact same screen as the s8. the small s8 is rumored to be 5.8

I read a rumor that it's gonna have a 5.8" in the body of the actual 4.7" iPhone. The screen is supposed to have 5.15" and in the bottom will be a "function area", perhaps similar to the new macbook pro's touch bar.

I, personally, think that the 5.15" is small for nowadays. But it's still too soon...

It's rumoured that new iPhone (8) will be 5.8" and that would make sense because the galaxy s8 will probably have also 5.8" display.

I'm not sure why people on here are such sticklers for the idea that Apple will never ever change their routine. When the rumours are so consistent and from multiple sources I am inclined to believe them. A lot of people said that Apple would never introduce a bigger phone and would never remove the headphone jack either.
