Will the iphone 9 have borderless screen like the X

the iphone 8 has the same design again except wrapped in glass. We want to know if the iphone 9 will have a borderless and oled screen like the X? So is the 8 the last generation with the old design and LCD screen?

The notch isn't there just for Face ID. It'll be there until Apple work out a way embed sensors/cameras into the screen.

I think it will be interesting to see if Apple introduces the edge to edge screen and faceid on an LCD screened phone for lower priced models.

It will come back when they'll figure out how to implement it under the screen. Till then enjoy the new FaceID.

There's so many different ways Apple could take the line from here, we could get a 7s and 8s next year to refresh the 7 and 8 at the same price point, a 9 or 8s to push the 8 and 7 down one price tier, and the 9 or 8s could be the same design as the 8, same but with a rectangular 16:9 oled panel, or full faced oled in two sizes to succeed both the 8 and the X.
