Do you think the iPhone will go with Verizon anytime soon? Why or whynot?
I cant believe 3 years ago Verizon TURNED DOWN Apples offer...that was probably their worst decision up to date
Are there not enough of these threads? Get over it
I can't believe YOU CREATED THIS THREAD 3 years after the first iphone... this was probably your worst decision to date
Verizon seems to be doing ok without it.
If there is ever a Verizon iPhone, it will be LTE rather than CDMA.
Ugh. Another one of these threads? To answer your question, I'm speculating an announcement by Apple in September. It's possible they'll be adding two carriers to the mix; T-Mobile (almost instantly - end of Q3) and Verizon (beginning of 2011 - January). Sorry, Sprint. You're a long shot to begin with. Just my $0.02.
This. Why invest making a CDMA iPhone only to have to redesign it next year to use LTE?
4G LTE is only data. You need a fallback network (CDMA/ 3G) for voice.
O MY GOD, JESUS CHRIST NOT ANOTHER VERIZON THREAD.
FIRST ON THE FRONT PAGE IT CLEARLY SAYS T-MOBILE, SECOND THERE IS A NOTHER ARTICLE ON THE PAGE THAT SAYS APPLE EXPLORED THE IDEA AND DIDENT LIKE IT. they didn't like it due to the size of the chip, also until 4g becomes the standard it wouldn't be smart to make an iphone for verizon.
There's always somebody saying this. Why?
Reported this thread. Huge repost of 1,000 other threads on this same crap subject.
Because 4G is only data, you would still need another network for voice, which is why you would still need a fallback 3G network (for now). It's just how it's laid out.
Yes. OP, please search first. Thank you.
Which is why I question the statement....
Where will they go together?
He/ she doesn't realize that you'd need both networks. Yes, I understand why you're questioning it.
+ 1. Nice touch.
This doesn't change why they won't want a just CDMA phone. So they have a CDMA iPhone then next year when all the phones on verizon are on LTE they still have to redesign the phone and shove the LTE stuff in there. Why wouldn't they just wait on adding CDMA until they can add both?
