iPhone SE (2022) Will the iPhone SE get knocked off the lineup when the 14 arrives?

TSMC 5nm capacity is now in surplus availability so in regards to the current situation my suggested lineup actually makes even more sense.

And would you think Apple will justify having the 13/13 mini with the 14? Assuming the rumours of how 14 is just a rebranded 13.

That’s what I said, there will be no brand new Mini.

We will have the 14 lineup (Regular, Max, Pro and Pro Max) the 13 lineup (Mini, Regular, Pro and Pro Max) and the SE 2022.

That’s the Apple lineup for you.

I think 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max will be discontinued too once 14 line is released, so the entire line-up will be:

iPhone 14, 14 Pro, Max, Pro Max
iPhone 13 and 13 mini
iPhone 12
iPhone SE

It won’t, and it shouldn’t. It caters for a very specific market who are on a budget and/or wants a small phone with the latest chipset and iOS.

Mini will cater for this group very well, as it is light and small and will be discounted in September. However, once iPhone 11 is discontinued, SE2022 will also remain the only LCD iPhone on the market, and there is quite a group of people who still have issues with OLED screens:

The 13/13 mini have the “binned” A15s with one GPU cluster disabled. The rumors say the 14 will have the full chip like last gen’s Pro model.

Yes, I was wrong to say that the 13 Pro would still be available after the 14’s release.

Not sure about pricing, but I find it very unlikely that Apple will continue selling both 12 mini and 13 mini. Dropping 13 mini out of that pair will also be odd, IMO, as it has a better battery and cameras, compared to 12 mini.
