I need a new MacBook, I like the new 13" rMBP however I could hold off if the next MacBook update included 802.11ac wireless.

Do you think the next MacBook will include it?

I think the next MBP release will come shortly after Haswell, so possibly late next summer. By then, I wouldn't be surprised to see 802.11ac. Another good reason to wait for Haswell.

Evolution says yes, but when who knows.

300mb/N not cutting it for you?

I checked network utility- mine is 54mb/s N. So 300 will be a big upgrade in wireless file transfer - cheers

Sounds like u need one of those dual-band N router. Move the router closer, use another channel bla-blah. I know, upgrading laptop easier.

I have a dual band router - I think that the first wireless N in MacBooks were only 54mbps, I could be wrong - If you are using a more recent mac could you check yours - search for network utility in finder then select airport from the drop down menu.

    Cheers
