Im thinking will the Pink Rose Gold ahem) phone be hard to sell or get rid of next year when the novelty of flaunting the newest cellphone bling or swag has worn off?

The supply of rose gold with be no different to any other colors by next year.
Since its more towards pink, your potential buyer pool shrinks by 40-60%
Logic implies the resale will be worse...

it will have the same resale value as the rest of the line a year from now. The only reason why it might sell better right now is because of how scarce the supply will be for a while. Once there's no shortage of stock, it will be treated just like every other phone.

People buying used iPhones care about two things: unlocked and clean ESN. Like everyone else they use a case or cover.

Who the crap knows.

It will be like any other latest Apple device. It will hold its value because it's Apple. We're not talking about an android device. Color doesn't matter, it's just a color. Just because you don't like a specific color, doesn't mean it's not going to sell.

I know you ordered a pink phone but tell me you're not serious. Of course color matters.

IMO it's pretty obvious that the "rose gold" will not appeal to as much people as the black and silver.

I agree with the 2nd poster. The buyers for that rose gold color will be smaller compared to the other colors. I like actually like the rose gold color as far as what I see online. Maybe, in person, I could change my mind. If too many people complain that it's to pink or lack of interest by buyers, Apple might change the hue of this pinkish rose gold color with the iPhone 7, as they did with Space Gray on the 5.

I'll be honest, I still don't like the gold iPhone color. I think it's a bit of a tacky color. Still doesn't bother me, since I threw a leather cover on it. So yeah, color may not matter to some, even if you have a color you may not like.

I understand your point. There's a big market out there , and what I'm trying to say is that any color will do just fine in the marketplace. People will buy the color they like.

What do you mean you don't like the gold color iPhone. I think it's awesome, you need to have better taste like ME

Umm.... then how is it that Rose Gold was the first color to sell out during the pre-order period? (Now back-ordered for four weeks).

It may be a hot color now (ordered Rose Gold myself) but I still think Gold will hold the better resale value. Doesn't matter though. I just went for the one I wanted.
