i was going to buy a 5S from T-Mobile but then realized the price will prob go down after the 6s announcement right, I can't believe they are selling the 5S at $600 still.

Well, I don't imagine that the price will increase. If the 5s isn't discontinued all together they will certainly lower the price given that it's two generations old.

The 5s will probably continue to be sold but only in an 8 GB configuration, so if you want more storage than that, you'd better get one before the old stock is exhausted.

Got a 5S a couple of weeks ago because, quite simply, I needed a phone immediately and I wanted the smaller screen. I highly doubt Apple will be releasing a phone with the same footprint and better internals come this Wednesday. Because of that, I am completely satisfied with my purchase, feel it was worth the price, and don't really care what other people think. It's fast, fluid, and suits my uses perfectly. I hope it doesn't get dropped and Apple continues to sell it because it would be an incredible "free" phone. The only way I would switch to a larger iPhone would be if I decided to forgo using an iPad altogether and just opted for the 6+ (6S+, or 7+) to kill two birds with one stone.

Yeah, T-Mobile has some refurbished iphone 5S models for like $349 I think. Although I wouldn't take the chance if they are not refurbished by Apple. Back in the Spring there was a deal in T-Mobile for $72 off the 5S, and they were selling the 64GB models for the same price as the 16GB models; at $549. I moved my wife over to T-Mobile and got her that phone, as she wanted something small. That was a good deal in my books for her phone, especially with her coming from a 4.

Based on history, you should expect the price to drop to $.99 on a two year. But I'm really not sure what the capacity will be.

It's going to be free this year. Next year when the rumored 6c comes, they will drop the 5s and 6c is going to be the entry level. Apple's pricing has always been consistent. The 199/649 base rule... Whatever the newest device gets 199/649 and its either 100 less or 100 more for other model tier.

2015
5s- free
6- 99/549
6s- 199/649

2016
5s- dropped
6 or 6c- free
6s-99/549
7- 199/649
