i know the previous Apple watches use dlc for the black SS. I wonder how scratch resistant the space black AW4 will be?

I’m assuming will have the same scratch resistance as the other models have had with the DLC coating. Although Apple does not market it with the space black having DLC.

Yea I’m skeptical since the gold/ss version is probably just a plating. If I know the black ss is dlc I’d go for it as I like the matte better then shiny but ss is easier to polish if it scratches.

Do what I did last year a send an email to Stan Ng at Apple and ask if the S4 is DLC again. He replied quite quickly to me.

Yup now I need to decide which one. I like how the regular SS goes with so many bands and how you can buff out scratches with a Capecod cloth but the Black is more scratch resistant and since I've always had the regular SS it might be time for a change.
