Just wondering if in rare instances you want to stream bluetooth from the watch instead of from your iPhone.

Have your iPhone connected to the bluetooth speaker and the watch, then use the watch to control it.

That reminds me when I was in middle and high school. I had a Casio watch that was able to control TV. The teachers never knew what was going on. Good times.

😎

Yes. You can play music directly from the watch and stream it via Bluetooth to headphones. Same thing with Bluetooth speaker.

I'm sitting here scratching my head wondering why would I want/need to stream music from my watch when my iphone will always be on or near me.

Running without your iphone, working out at the gym without your iPhone are two very easy examples.

Yea, I think it will actually stream from the phone but the :apple: Watch could be used as a remote rather than the phone.

If I'm out by the pool or the sandy beach, I may not want my iPhone with me, but I would have less concern about my watch and could use it to stream music to a little bluetooth speaker. Just one use case that immediately came to mind. I'm sure there are others.

I don't see why not, I think as far as Bluetooth is concerned - wireless speakers and wireless earphones are the same.
