I heard a rumor that when the iPhone 7 comes out, it will not have a 16GB option available? Is this true?

If they still stick at 16GB, then next decade of that day would be the day we mourn Apple.

The current rumour is this:

iPhone 7

32GB - $790
128GB - $990
256GB - $1060

iPhone 7 Plus

32GB - $910
128GB - $1030
256GB - $1180

According to a leaked price sheet, obviously this could be wrong, it would be easy to fake a price sheet. Also i wonder, if genuine, how much these will work out to in British Pounds.

Cant see prices changing much. itll be around £550 for the 7, £630 for the plus. Theyve fluctuated over the years, from £549 for iPhone 5, £539 for 5s, £529 for 6 and £539 for 6s. Pretty consistently mid 500 mark.

But with the edition of a 256GB version won't yet change things? Plus with the pound now weaker, that might add more onto the price.

Apple has had same pricing model for years. I doubt it will change this year, or by this much. Low-end model is always $650. Every storage increase is $100. And $100 premium for Plus model. Im expecting to get the 32GB 7+ for $750

Remember, the dollar amounts listed in this was based off the yen (I believe). That was the dollar equivalent in Japan but that doesn't mean that would be the cost here as products can cost more, for a variety of reasons, in other countries than what we pay in the US. If they start the 32 GB iPhone 7 at $790, that would be $140 more than the 16GB 6s costs. You may see an increase but I'd be surprised if it's that large of an increase-especially given a lot of people are talking of waiting on next year's phone.

Especially now that the iPhone Upgrade Program is a thing I think they will try to keep the prices the same year to year so that people who want to upgrade will do so because the price is similar.

Ok that might explain it then, I was hoping to get the iPhone 7 Plus 128GB for around £850 but we will see. With the pound being weak at the moment, I'm not sure what to expect.

Let's not start complaining about lack of 16GB iPhone. Won't know for sure for another week. Then someone can complain about too much memory in low end units.

We will all know for sure in a week. Until then, it's just rumours and guesses.

Why is it anyone wants to start a discussion there's always at least one person who doesn't care and insists it's pointless?

Why is that any less valid than starting a pointless discussion. It's just another opinion. Besides it caused you to read it, think about it and make a comment.

I didn't say it was pointless, but the OP didn't invite people to discuss and speculate, he specifically asked if something was true. We don't know yet. That's the only honest and truthful answer to the question that was asked.
