user friendly means they're easy to use.. they moreorless lock in place, you don't have to push in hard or keep the things aligned as with phillips or slotted.. you're much less likely to strip the head or the tool.. you're much less likely to damage surroundings.. they can't really slip like that.
they're easy.
they're user friendly
they're also big.. much bigger than they need to be for holding in the parts.. that's so you're hands can grab them easier.
they're also a standard screw and the screwdrivers for them are readily available.

why so hung up on that? do you not think they're user friendly? do you not think they're standard?
