Do you agree with me that based on Apple's June event, their release of new 27 inch iMacs in August and rumors of an ARM-based iMac in 2021, they will probably release no more new Intel-based iMacs (including iMac Pro)?

Yeah think the recent 27" is the last of the Intel iMacs. A 24" redesign is meant to supersede the 21.5" sometime soon, and I don't think the 27" will be too far behind ultimately. The iMac Pro - maybe it will get a chip bump when available, though being left on sale as is for several more years, or just being discontinued would be my first guesses to its fate.

The regular iMacs, yes, I think we've seen the last of Intel. The iMac Pro; I have no idea. It's possible it gets one more go with Intel and Big Navi - Maybe even in a new iMac design language. But it could also just fizz out now that the Mac Pro exists, as some have deemed it the stop-gap solution. I really have no good guesses

Thanks for sharing your opinions. I agree, no more new regular Intel iMac and maybe a new Intel iMac Pro.

New Intel Xeon CPUs have been ready for a year and new AMD GPUs should be ready by the end of this year should Apple decide they want to update the machine.

I don't expect to see any new Intel iMac Pro but if there is one, a physical redesign is extremely unlikely.

I think it would be strange messaging to release a Apple Silicon iMac then an Intel iMac Pro after it. So if both are going to exist an iMac Pro update probably needs to happen pretty soon...

The answer is:
Unknown at this time.

My guess would be:
Probably not...

I think after Apple launches the first ARM Macs, they will release no more Intel Macs to have a clear transition. If that assumption is true, then the questions are, firstly, when Apple will release the first ARM Mac and, secondly, if they release any Intel Macs before.

I think Ming Chi Kuo's prediction of a 13" MacBook Pro and 24" iMac late this year is looking increasingly likely - the 2 port Pro and 21.5" iMacs didn't get chip updates earlier in the year, and now both of those models have slipped out to late October shipping, at least on Apple's UK website. A launch at the 13th October iPhone event is seeming more and more plausible...
