I think their reasoning is for better keyboard contrast. I never had a problem with that when I owned the black, unapologetic-plastic MacBook.
 
Sure, why not. They've gone back to black with the iPhone 7, so I think a black MacBook is possible. Some were already hoping for a jet black version for the new MacBook Pro.
I personally would love a black MacBook.
 
Loved the black plastic Macbook. Used to own one. Since we have a "black" iPhone 7, I think we will see a black Macbook as well, replacing the space grey.

They already made one, the rose gold Macbook.

MacBooks follow the iDevice color trend. I can't see them doing Jet Black, as scratches and scruffs would be insane on such a large surface like a MacBook. If they do offer a new dark dolor, I'd imagine going "Black" like the iPhone 7. The new MBP continue with Space Grey, so that's probably what they will keep with for a while.
 
I don't see why they even bothered with the pink color. They had tons of other choices to go with yet rose gold was the winner. They couldn't do maybe a product red one, a dark blue, or yes a matte black.

I agree. Worst color choice on both, iPhone and MacBook.

My sisinlaw has everything in rose gold. started with the apple watch. even a stapler

I really like the space grey but they need to go all the way black as an option too. Would look bad-ass.

Hopefully 3rd gen.
