Thinking of getting the 12.9 pro 128gb cellular. MacMall has $140 off with free shipping. Does anyone have any idea if Apple will price match them so I can pick it up in the store tomorrow?

Apple normally do with the likes of Best Buy, WalMart, Target, and such, but not online orders, like Amazon.
However, with it being 'Black Friday', it might be more difficult to get it processed and approved. I say try regardless...

I think your correct. Apple doesn't price match online vendors, its in store only from various competitors.

How about Microcenter...they are in store only ($100 off)

I guess I will just brave the crowd and bring some printouts with me and see how it goes...I don't want a $100 gift card to apply to a later purchase. My wife already has a Pro and we can share the pencil so no need to buy another.

Apple has matched microcenter for me on an iPad last year... it was not black friday thought so YMMV

How did it go?

It went well. Typing now from my new iPad Pro 12.9 128gb cellular that I got for $929.

It was crowded though. Anyone looking to purchase had to wait in a line out in front of the store. Firstly though I went in to look around and query someone about a price match before I waited in line. The girl I spoke to told me the best they might do was a $30 discount so I didn't bother getting in line. My wife and I shopped around a bit and the line got smaller so we decided to give it another shot.

After a short wait (less than 10min) I got a guy who said they would only price match about $50 or 10%. I informed him 10% was $100 and would match the micro center deal. He checked with a supervisor and said we could do it but with no bonus gift card. While we waited for the guys out back to bring out the iPad he informed me they double checked and microcenter was not on the list for price matching but since they already said yes they did it. So anyone else trying to match this I would guess that your mileage may vary but I gather that in general they will go up to 10% without much fuss. I did bring a printout of the offer.

Just want to add that apparently the Apple Store won't price match on accessories. I went there today and asked them to price match Best Buy on the Beats Solo 3 headphones and they declined because they said only price match on iPhones/iPads/Macs/Apple Watches.
