    Hello all,

I was wondering if someone can offer some advice.

    Regarding this product:
    http://www.skycomp.com.au/product.aspx?id=185734

Does anyone know if this will work under OSX?
If not will it work if I'm running under Windows Vista via bootcamp?

I have the new unibody 17" Macbook pro.

    Regards,
    Simon

Will not work. It is a tray model and you would need an extremely slim 9 mm high tray less loading device. I belive they do not exist yet. last time the slimmest were 12.5 mm.

I know OSX doesn't have drivers which is why I asked about bootcamp.

    and..

If you had clicked on the link you would see it's an EXTERNAL USB2 drive.

    1. In Mac OS 10.5 You can use an external Blu-ray drive to read non-encrypted Blu-ray disks or if it's a writer, to write data to them You CANNOT watch movies

    2. In Bootcamp, you can watch movies PROVIDED you have the right software installed in windows.

Hopefully this will change with Snow Leapord. I would buy from a place like www.macsales.com as they are Mac centric and all of their tech support and guides and what not can take you through the process. This applies to RAM upgraes, drive upgrades, and all of that. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/firewire/optical-drives/
