Will this drive work?

    Looks like either drive should be compatible with your eMac. :)

    In both cases, the drives do not come with Mac software. You will need to get Patchburn 3 at least to make them compatible with the iApps, or buy Toast.

    The LG drive I have tested internally in a Quicksilver G4 and it was not bootable. It may be a problem with the Quicksilvers motherboard though - YMMV.

    The External DVD unit is USB only, slower than Firewire and definitely not bootable.

    Your other option is to get a Pioneer internal drive - they are bootable in most Macs. See more info at www.xlr8yourmac.com
