Looks like a standard 2.5" drive to me. The 2.5" is the platter size, not the width of the drive, pretty sure 2.75" is normal for the width of the whole drive.

Aha I see. Guess my worries were unnecessary then. This is my first time replacing a HD in a laptop so I've been paying close attention to size.

Like robbie said its a standard notebook drive,hope the install goes Ok, oh and one thing you might want to consider is get the one without the sensor as your MBP already has one and their have been reports of conflicts
