Will this logic board work?

As mentioned in a previous thread, my early 2008 17 inch macbook pro logicboard crapped out on me. I am in the position to buy a early 2008 17 inch logic board from a friend, but my computer had a 2.6ghz processor and the new logic board has a 2.5ghz logic board. Will this work?
