I don't see any reason for it not to work, as long as you use it with a 3G iPod.

This dock works with your existing iPod cable. There's an opening in the bottom where you stick the connector in, and it's snug enough to push the release buttons on the sides of the connector (so the connector won't lock on). It's not like the Dock that comes with the Gen 3 iPod. Hope this helps.
