I have had my AirPods max for a little while now but I hardly use them and keep them on this stand I bought from Amazon. However I’m wondering if keeping the headphones on this stand may cause the headband to warp or become damaged?

While I don't have that particular stand, I do have a headphone hook that I hang my APMs on and leave them there for sometimes days at a time. Been using it for at least a year without any warping or other issues. So, I'd say you're fine.

Should be fine. The headband is made of pretty strong and flexible metal.

The only concern would be the constant pressure on the mesh, which some people have reported wearing out and losing resiliency with normal use. I bought this to avoid that potential problem, and it also has the magnets to put it in sleep mode:

Those look slick for sure. Ordered!

This is nice! Is there a version I can use with the smart case in?

There are a bunch of variations on this theme, so maybe?

Why do you want to use the smart case with this stand? If you buy the one with the magnets, the case isn't necessary to put the APM to sleep. This stand does have a place to secure the Lightning end of the cable, and you can plug it in and charge while the APM is on the stand. There are also stands that have a small wireless charger you plug into the APM Lightning port that automatically charges when you put the headphones on the stand. I regularly use mine in wired mode so didn't want to fool with removing that thing every time, and for various reasons, I don't use the charging accommodations on the one I bought and linked to. Instead, I have an end table bottom shelf where I keep the case, and that's where I charge the headphones.
