Yes, it will work just as well. Some Mac users prefer the older version keyboard, although I rather like the newer version keys better.

Got it today and must say its a nicer experience to use than the wireless keyboard that comes with the iMac...
-Glad to hear that you're enjoying it. Although I really like the newer wireless KB I'm definitely keeping the older G5 keyboard too. -- I think the best keyboard I've ever used was my now dead G4 PowerBook --thoughts typed themselves on that thing, the keys were like water. Ahh, fond memories.

Beginning to wonder if it is a G5 keyboard,its says Pro Keyboard on back,year 2000,has 2 usb ports on sides of keyboard,best keyboard i have ever used whatever it is....
