Maybe should have asked this before buying,but will an apple keyboard G5 work with an mid 2011 iMac?

Seller said it would

Yes, it will work just as well. Some Mac users prefer the older version keyboard, although I rather like the newer version keys better. 🙂

Got it today and must say its a nicer experience to use than the wireless keyboard that comes with the iMac...

-Glad to hear that you're enjoying it. Although I really like the newer wireless KB I'm definitely keeping the older G5 keyboard too. -- I think the best keyboard I've ever used was my now dead G4 PowerBook --thoughts typed themselves on that thing, the keys were like water. Ahh, fond memories. 🙂

Beginning to wonder if it is a G5 keyboard,its says Pro Keyboard on back,year 2000,has 2 usb ports on sides of keyboard,best keyboard i have ever used whatever it is....
