Will this work with mac's?

I dont think Blu Ray or HD DVD is supported on Macs yet...

Blu-Ray is supported on the Mac. Toast and other apps have support for burning.

You need SATA to firewire enclosure, it's much faster than USB when it comes to real world usage. USB will work, but is slower than firewire. (Or you can get one with both USB and Firewire).
