I experienced a re-spring hang yesterday. Ended up doing a restore and JB again.

Ive just set the volume buttons, so that when both are pressed together, from anywhere, it will reboot the springboard into safemode.

If i had a springboard 'hang' in the future, or other issues...is that good thing to do? Would it respond to the command? ..if the circles keeps spinning etc.

The better thing to try at that point would probably be a hard reset. If you are in the middle of a respring hang, chances are functions you assign to 'Activator,' probably will not work, though I'm not 100% sure on this since I've never had a continuous respring. Hopefully someone else has some ideas.

I agree, just do a hard reset.

I got the spinning wheel once, pretty recently. My solve for the problem was to hold down Home Button + Sleep Button. The iPhone then shut down and it worked to just start it up as normal.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A406 Safari/7534.48.3)

When I had the spinning wheel though, I tried holding down power but it wouldn't shut down.
Safemode was good for me yesterday, downloaded calender lock which crashed springboard, it then rebooted into safe mode automatically anyway, so hopefully the JB files are all working as they should this time.
