I've been trying for ages to get hold of two X5365 for a reasonable price but have lucked out. However is it not possible at all for a X5410 to run in the Mac Pro 1,1? Or even better, the 3Ghz version in the E54xx series. I know there is a difference in the manufacturing tech (45nm vs 65nm) but the socket type is the same 🙂
It was suggested by many good people here that the limit for my mac be the X5365 but out of sheer desperation i'm hoping someone may have would a real world experience of getting them to work.
