Title says it all. I've been jb since 2.x currently at 3.0

Over the last several months I've noticed a HUGE decrease in my wifi reception capabilities, and haven't been able to join my home network in quite some time. If I'm right on top of the time capsule, I can get a medium strength reception. We have 2 other iphones in the house (non jb) and they get reception everywhere.

I'm wondering if the tethering program I have (mywi) is part of the problem? I rarely tether, and quite honestly besides the custom look that I have, I'm not really doing much that would require the jb.

Have any of you experienced this? Will un-jb'ing my phone restore its wifi capabilities?

Thanks

Wifi loss is one of the widest ranging problems JB'ers have had with subsequent updates. Mine died around 3.0.

Restoring won't fix it either, but you can try. Do a Google search for iPhone wireless problem and you'll get the picture..

My gut tells me it's a hardware problem. I used to have fine wifi reception after jb. If it was the jb, I would've thought it would show up when I did the jb.

I'll go ahead and try a restore and see what happens. If it's a hw issue, I guess it will get fixed when I get the new phone this summer.

Thanks

Only option is live with it or get it swapped for $200 at Apple.

I forgot about the swap thingie. It's a 3G, though. If they'd swap it for a 3gs I do that....I just don't want to mess up my upgrade eligibility when the new one comes out this summer.

They won't give u a 3GS. And an out of warranty replacement doesn't mess with your subsidy. It's separate.
