I love my Series 4. I do wish fonts were bigger on many complications. I also use a Dexcom G6 CGM for Type 1 Diabetes and would like it easier to read. Wondering if I should wait till next year, with a rumored redesign. Thanks for any information in advance.

IMO if you’ve skipped S5 and S6 an upgrade to S7 will be well worth it.

S4 SSSB to S7 SSG for me. There have been a few added features over the S4 which was enough this time to take the plunge.

With the faster processor AirPods connect quicker and Siri also responds faster.

Also, I went back to my old Series 4 cuz I just sold my Series 6 and I hate seeing the formless black void that is the black rectangle. I can no longer use a series 4. I hate not seeing the time when I look down.

I have a S4 now. I think the iterative upgrades from S4 to now all stack up to be a major improvement. And that doesn't even mention the benefit of going from a years-old battery to a new one (better battery life!)

I’m upgrading from a SSG S4 to a SBSS S7. The larger screen & better battery were enough to convince me. I’m sure it’ll be speedier & more responsive too!

How many hours were we supposed to get from the S4 ? I don't remember and can't find it .

I’m on an S4 and took the plunge as well. I went from a S0 to a S4 and the difference was pretty large so hoping this one delivers as well. I think once every 3-4 years is a good watch upgrade cycle.

I went from the S0 to S4, and am going to upgrade to the S7. Now to just choose between Midnight and Starlight.

I went with starlight ( I hope I like it when it gets here ) because I have no bands that would be nice with dark blue and am not crazy about blue for every day and dress wear . I love the green but didn't go for it mostly for the same reason so there was no other choice . I now have a S4 silver and wanted black or grey for a change but that of course is no longer an option ...

I suppose the app you use will need to be updated to take advantage of the bigger screen, unless the actual resolution didn't change but I haven't seen any details on that.
I'm in the camp where I am tempted but I do want to ee the S7 first hand and then decide. my S4 SBSS got replaced under AC+ like 4 months ago, so it's totally pristine and battery at 100% and the trade-in is meh ... I am considering going all for a year, but as is said need to see it in person

Lots of new features. But it’s still just a smartwatch. So maybe not ‘big’ but probably worthwhile.

I'm going from a Series 4 to the 7, and even gambling the 45mm will fit my wrist. I too would like a bigger screen.

My Series 4 is 44mm, and its case is pretty close to my left hand's wrist joint/bump. I may have to move my newer/larger watch to my right hand, after all these years of being left hand centric  Oh the sacrifices I make for Steve and Tim:p

Anyone looking for improved battery life from the S4 to the S7 will probably not see it.

Battery life has been improved but only by adding features that tax it more, yet keeping the amount of daily use hours the same.

You get the "always-on display" that I think started with Series 5. Series 6 brought an even brighter display for sunlight viewing. Series 7 now has a 70% brighter "always-on" rest mode.

So, more features but battery life remains about the same as the S4.

I did exactly the same. I have a SS S4 and have decided to trade it in. Wish I had decided a couple of days earlier as the apple trade in price has dropped £15. Anyway I've decided to go Aluminium because I'm definitely getting the S8 if the rumoured design changes are true

I skipped AW5, AW6 and I was going to upgrade this year. For this reason I sold S4 one week before Apple press conference and I was so disappointed with S7 minor changes and no new sensor.
So I was thinking that I will wear mechanical watch this year but on Friday I ordered S7 and I will sell it next year taking some loss for 1 yar upgrade.
And I have Oura ring and doing fitness a lot so I need Apple Watch to track my data..

Btw I can not beliwve that I could wait to upgrade soo long. I have changed iPhone every year and this year I have bigger emotion to not going to upgrade iPhone 12 Pro to 13 Pro which has no racional sense..
