Will we always have computer desk?

Steve Jobs in an interview has said that the desktops are like trucks and will still be around but everyone would have cars which are laptop/Tablet.

So what I guess I see would happen is a desktop computer will be 40" and up and wall mountable with the keyboard and mouse to be anywhere you want it to be

Technically, Desktops will be TV replacement & the tablets and laptops will be our portable computing.

This would then replace our need for a computer desk? Is this so or do you think a computer desk will always be needed as computers gets slimmer, lighter, & more portable?

Well, you'll still need a desk or table of some sort at work. You use the desk to write on and to store things. Also, it's more comfy to sit and work at a desk rather than on the sofa, imo.

I will. When it comes to computer usage, I need a truck. But it sure is great having a sport compact for the weekends.
