I meant 3rd partyNo one here works high up enough in apple to answer the question, even if they did they couldn't answer.
From a theoretical standpoint I would say no we won't.
This makes more sense than building it in, because most people wont use a built in camera anywaysI was wondering this myself. I don't have a real need for it but I was thinking someone may come up with a way to hook in a webcam through the connector.
Do you think whoever makes one first, they'll make alot off of it?Its certainly possible via iPhone 3.0's Accessory capabilities. The only questions is will somebody make one. I think somebody will. I think there are a lot of people who would buy it.
How do you know October? Im curious to know...Personally, I'm waiting for the 2nd gen. iPad with camera, 512MB RAM and standalone Apple Dictionary app.
Due out in October!!
good question. i dont think we will see it until next year. How do you know October? Im curious to know...
nice thought but unlikely. iphone os devices have been and likely will stay on a 12 month cycle.Personally, I'm waiting for the 2nd gen. iPad with camera, 512MB RAM and standalone Apple Dictionary app.

i would totally go for that.http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=858197&highlight=
I'd say yes... at some point, this will happen... unless Apple decides to lay the smack down on 3rd party developers for making accessories that use the 30-pin connection.
Me too !!!i would totally go for that.
>implying that the mic isn't strong enough to pick up your voice even if its turned 180 degrees downThat probably won't work, because the mic is on top of the iPad.
This is the exact same idea I had, except that on the bottom of the camera there would be another 30 pin connector port so you could still charge and/or synchttp://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=858197&highlight=
