Is there any update on a new iMac? Will we see the new iMac in January for CES?
no to both
Only Apple knows.
Wishful thinking aside, there’s zero indication a new iMac (Pro) is coming soon.
How do we decide on this forum - so be it. They have nowhere to go, we dictate!
Apple doesn't participate in CES.
No, because Apple doesn't participate and I think its too early to see a new model come out. Will the Kaby lake processors that the iMac use be out by CES?
I'm thinking late March for a new iMac, Mini and Mac Pro.
I'm thinking late March or a new iMac.
It only seems logical for Apple to update the Mini and Pro at least with a spec bump, but Apple has become too unpredictable. I think we'll see new iPad Pros and new iMacs.
I think it's possible that they release an "iMac Pro" that is nothing more than the standard iMac, space grey, slightly higher clock speed, and special version of the magic keyboard with Touch Bar and Touch ID starting at probably $2,899 knowing Apple.
The last January release was in 2006 when MacWorld was still a thing. Apple does fall/spring/summer releases now. February would be an outside possibility but not January. My money is on March-April. Apple gives no craps about CES, lol.
Oops. Bad post. Sorry
Well starting to see some early reviews of Kaby Lake 7770K which should make it into iMac's. Talks about a Jan 2017 release. So suspect probably about March knowing Apple. Hopefully with some newer GPU as well.
If Apple is only doing a spec-bump that warrants a Press Release, then we could see a release in January or February if the GPUs and CPUs are ready.
Otherwise it will be at the March iPad event.
