will XP (specifically Vegas) utilize all 8 cores in a Mac Pro?

Hi, I've been a lurker for a longtime and been using macs since the PowerMac 7500/100 but just ran into an issue I can't find an answer to anywhere else.

A coworker uses Sony Vegas under XP and would like to switch to a setup with 2 or 3 MacPros but we don't know if the software can utilize all 8 cores. Has anyone had any experience with this or have any ideas how we can find out short of buying a machine to test on?

    Thanks!

    Probably not.

No pros use Vegas. None. Nada.

Pay the 1300 for Final Cut Studio.

Compressor will utilize all 8 cores under the "Virtual Cluster" option. Only encoding sucks up mad crazy power.

Using Vegas... is just insulting to yourself. Get final cut

Looks like Version 6 and later can take advantage of dual core/dual processors.
