Will xplane run on a G5?

Was wondering if Xplane 8 or 9 will run on my G5 with the following specs...

1.8 dual processor
2.5gb ram
64mb geforce 5200

...or will I need to hunt down Xplane 7? I don't have any flight sim and need my fix. I don't care about frame rates and don't mind turning off some effects. Would be running it @ 1280x1024, or 1024x768 if I had to.

X-Plane 9 should run fine on your G5.

"fine" is a relative term. X-Plane depends heavily on the graphics card and the Geforce 5200 wasn't a high performance card when it was new. With the graphics settings at low quality, X-Plane should work, as long as you recognize that your system is at the minimum, it just won't look like the screen shots you see on the website.

OK, thanks u 2. I might pick it up version 9 then, it is cheap enough.
