I got a new MacBook Air last Fall (around October-November 2014), and it is running 10.9.4. Would upgrading to Yosemite slow it down? I don't really want to download it if it'll slow my computer at all.

Is there any reason to upgrade?

Also, if I do upgrade, will it delete everything from my computer?

Thank you!

No, it runs about the same as Mavericks. Also, if you're still on 10.9.4 there isn't any reason not to at least update to 10.9.5.

Since that review there's also the Photos app as well as an improved Look Up feature.

No.

I wouldn't think so. I haven't noticed any issues or slowing down on my 2013 Air. In fact, in some regards it feels a bit snappier. I also particularly like the new features they added with Yosemite in an effort to further utilize the Apple ecosystem.
