Voted no, but that is with the current version and coding style of iOS. The platform really isn’t stylus friendly. Even on the iPads. People draw with it. That’s it. I don’t need to draw with my iPhone.

The OS doesn’t take advantage of space well also. Exhibit A-D are the iPad Pro, iPad mini and iPhone X and plus. People using an iPhone SE technically have the best iOS experience as it stands coded today. The OS is for true one-handed use.

It will be a cool feature to have, but not necessary. Like the Samsung Notes it will end up taking an inconsiderate amount of space in the phone. It will be cool to use for the first week or so, then it will start dying out.

why add subjective stuff to poll questions instead of yes/no?

like- i wouldn't buy one but not for the reasons in the poll (too gimmicky / useless)

I was a PalmOS user for many years until I bought an iPhone 3G. I never missed the stylus one bit. Going back to one now would feel like... going backwards. One-handed use is too important to me. If some functions require two hands and a stylus it would seriously annoy me.

I have played with the stylus on a Note 8 and it was neat in a way, but it also felt like something I would quickly forget about.

I don’t even have the pencil for my iPad Pro, although I suppose it makes more sense for a larger tablet... especially if you like to draw or you just enjoy writing with a pen or pencil. I never did enjoy handwriting. I have terrible penmanship and using a pen gives me hand cramps. Keep those ancient torture devices away from me and my iPhone!

say, an iPhone X+ with stylus support next year. Yay or nay?

It will never happen. I'm not completely opposed to having the option of a stylus. But that's not really Apples vision I believe with the iPhone and Jobs also never really condoned the use of a stylus either, which he mentioned we have ten of them to use.

For the record, I really do like the Note 8 and the S Pen capabilities, and how it's expanded nicely over the years. With the S-Pen, you don't have to use it, but it's nice to have it with you if somebody wanted the option of utilizing it.

It’s time for a mini Apple Pencil for the iPhone. Maybe a 5 inch.
I’m searching now for a good small stylus. Compatible with my new iPhone X. For quick hand written notes and drawing handwritten prints for work. Would be great.

It won’t happen like that, no. But it will happen. Like this: Gen 2 Apple Pencil support. Combined with split screen multitasking and a Plus size screen, the Apple Pencil will be useful as a sketching and note taking tool. It’ll be a crossover between iPhone and iPad.

Agreed. It will happen due to natural evolution of the iPhone.

iPad is taking on the tasks of the Mac.
iPhone will be taking on some content creation tasks of the iPad.
Watch is taking on the tasks of the iPhone.

If They make the Apple Pencil smaller and more compact, then yes, it could be a possibility where they implement the Apple Pencil for the iPhone. But an Actual stylus for the iPhone, that won't happen. But I doubt it will be relatively anytime soon.

I’d like the option. I love my pencil on the 12.9. Its too big for a phone but I wouldn’t like it internal like the note - that one is too small and flimsy. But I’d like to pick up the full size pencil at times to jot notes

OK with it if it didn't come at any cost, e.g. battery size, overall size, touchscreen sensitivity, etc. I can't think of how I would regularly use one, but I suppose it's possible. I voted no because I never think "I wish I had a stylus right now." But if a great use came along, I'd be happy to try it out. Really curious how android users use them because I don't think I've ever seen anyone whip a stylus out while on their phablets.

I wouldn't mind to have Apple Pencil support for the larger XS /XL (whatever it will be called) There are quite a few apps I use it for my iPad Pro, it would be nice to mess around with it on a larger full screen iPhone.

Nah. I never used the S-Pen on my Note 3. If you enjoy drawing or need to do stuff with signatures, I guess it's cool. I'm not even interested in iPads with Apple Pencil. But say you like to pick up girls and ask them to write their # or you see a celebrity and ask for an autograph and selfie, I guess that would be useful.
