I would prefer USBC, but for me, the notch has to change/reduce/go, the design has to change and it HAS to be 5G.

Releasing essentially the same design as the X I own, in late 2019, with the same bezels and notch and no 5G is ridiculous.

Be honest, no b.s. simple If the 2020 iPhone only has a Lightning jack and No USB-C will you buy it ?
Definitely yes. I don’t care since I have many recharger on both standards (USB C from my MacBook Pro and iPad Pro, lightning from many iPhone and iPad 2018).

A USB C port on the iPhone won't accomplish anything. Don't understand the obsession with it. It's not an improvement.
From a mechanical point of view I much prefer lightning .

Honestly isn't an issue to me at all.

I've skipped this year as I already have an XS, and it simply wasn't a big enough update to justify the cost. Providing the 2020 line up have 5G, then I'm buying in, regardless of what kind of jack/socket it does or doesn't have.

Of course - I have lightning cables all over the place. My car has wired carplay. How am I going to get it to work with no port? I know I'm in the minority here, but I want them to keep the lightning.
