yes it is just another dock, nothing new but just curious as to whether you would get one

That's exactly what it is. I honestly have no idea why he even put it in the keynote as if it was something revolutionary.

It would be nice if the iPad dock works without any adapters. It's a pain swapping bits of plastic in and out for different devices.

Looks like this year's dock will have no opening on the front like last year. The whole dock surrounds the device.

If I had a sync cable permanently connect to my computer I might. Given I move my laptop around, I think not.

I'm hoping I can use my Alarm clock as a dock Jenson HD Radio. So far I am very happy with it and I hate to have to sell it with the 3gs! to me that's a dock! 😀

Hopefully ALL of our existing stuff will work with the new phone. I'm talking car charger ( remember when apple made it so the 3G phone wouldn't work with the original iPhone charger) and travel batteries etc.

I think my current aftermarket chargers (3 of them) will fit.

I love having a dock, it is so easy to just set it in the dock and charge, rather than have to find the cable and fool around with it.

I'll be buying 3 of them.

1) For my night stand: It is my alarm clock (Night Stand app)
2) For my office: I like to top it off during the day
3) For my travel bag: I travel a lot, and it is my travel alarm clock
