What are you planning to do with the(maybe) release of the 5g? Will you upgrade from your 4g even if it is a minor upgrade? From my part im just gonna stay with my lovely 4G haha i love it,and i just don't need to upgrade it

No reason to upgrade if it's not going to make a big difference (probably won't). Plus mine works great and does everything I ask, so I have no reason to get a new one.

i totally agree with you,it has so many features that i like, and im sure apple won't make many changes to it!Some people are saying that even if the color is white they'll buy it!Eveyrone can choose!Peace hahaha :p

I am almost a guaranteed lock to buy it(99%) as long as the camera is upgraded.

I plan on upgrading. I need more RAM and a larger capacity (8GB doesn't cut it, but 16GB should). Other than that, I don't really care. I'm not interested in a white version.

I think you mean to say 32 GB... As for RAM, I guess you could use 512 MB.

do you think that the 5g will have 3G and GPS i read this in 9to5mac and i was like  for me it's impossible. Most people will prefer the ipod touch than the iphone

I'm planning to get a replacement for my iPod touch in august because light leaks in-between the back and the bezel. I got two replacements in the past for this problem so shouldn't be hard, right? Then I will sell that replacement to fund the purchase of 5G :D

Not likely. Not unless I have a huge amount of extra cash to burn and there happens to be a jailbreak out for the 5th Gen iPod touch, which is unlikely seeing how the iPad 2 is doing on that.

I'll be sticking with my 4th gen iPod touch for a while longer.

No, he's saying he wants the 8GB model to be replaced by a 16GB one. He didn't mean to say 32GB.....

Correct. I don't need 32GB just yet. :)

I have a 32 GB 3rd gen iPod touch. I have a gig of space left. I only use ir for music.

if I do upgrade it will only be because I need a 64 GB

if it gets a bigger screen.

I've been playing with a VZ Thunderbolt (4G Android) and the 4.3" screen is great. I don't need that much to upgrade from my current touch, but it would seal the deal. (So would 3G or 4G :D )

if it has 3G I will buy on launch day, maybe even wait in line (if there are lines). I'll sell my 4Th gen 32gb and buy the lowest 3G 5th gen (hopefully white). I keep most of my media on my iPad now, so my iPod has mostly only music.

It won't have 3G but it still will have some nice features. Frankly I think it will be the last model though. Apple will drop it when it has the no contract low cost iPhone and a new gamer device.
Still if it has Bluetooth 4, the iphone4 IPS screen and the iPhone 512mb A4 and a better camera then that is enough for me.
I have the 6th gen iPod nano that i use at the gym and the iPad2 but I still need a tweener device for walking around with and no my carrier still does not offer an iPhone- if they did I would not need a Touch too.

Exactly, pretty much my position, too.

I'll wait and see what the future brings by way of upgrades, but it is not a major priority, as, for the moment, I'm perfectly happy with my 64GB iTouch.

Cheers
