That’s why I said it begins here.
We'll see I suppose. Nothing we can do but watch as the process works itself through.

I was thinking about this question some more since my last post, and I'll probably go ahead and install the beta on my 6s plus in the next few days. I'm upgrading my phone this year, so I'm going to have iOS 12 from launch day no matter how I feel. I may as well take advantage of some of the performance improvements for the next few weeks. My 10.5 iPad Pro will stay on iOS 11 for awhile even after the GM is released.

Definitely will on my X and IPP. May wait a couple days on my SE though.

Although iOS 12 may be released while I'm out of the country, so I'll wait until I come back to the states to update my devices.

We get iOS updates outside the US.

Maybe. I let my kids use my phone a lot so am quite used to the parental controls. So if there are some good video reviews out of the new setup so I know what I'm getting into, then sure.

I'll upgrade as soon as the GM comes out. I love playing the game of "find the dodgiest website possible to get the GM from" on every release night (it releases after 6pm in the UK) and hoping I can get it before morning.

Pretty sure the GM is released to public beta testers around the same time as developers so you could just install the beta profile, install the update, then remove the profile (assuming you don’t want any betas)

Yes I will, via iTunes. And I will set my phone as new.
I second that! My X will appreciate iOS 12. 11 isn't that great, even on the flagship hardware.

I'm doing what I do every year, and pull the (OTA) trigger as soon as the update goes live. Hasn't failed me yet, and in case something happens there's always the possibility to downgrade back to iOS 11 until they get stuff sorted out. At least I think there is, never had to try and find out. No reason to change what works (for me) come September.
Yup, there is usually a few weeks to downgrade back after the initial update.

Yes. Just from testing iOS 12 on my old 5s it became smoother and faster.

iOS 11 has been a **** show. Even my iPhone X runs like crap sometimes and it’s Apple’s flagship. I think iOS 12 will make it run better. Of course there will be bugs but hopefully 12.x will fix that.

i've rarely to never suffered all these major flaws with the first version but I'll still likely wait a few days. so if it comes out on say Tuesday/Wednesday I'll wait until the weekend. mainly cause everyone else will be rushing to get it right away and the servers always seem to be wacked
