Hey guys,

because new Macbook Pros are more expensive than we were expecting, will you put screen protector on display?
I never put screen shield on laptop but this thing will be superexpensive so I want to ask how you will protect it.

And I have cat that likes jumping on tables which I do not like 😁

I don't think I've ever used a screen protector on a laptop and won't be starting now. Given its not a touchscreen, I'm not sure what good a screen protector would actually do?*

* Awaits replies of "it protects the screen" 🙂

I always put it on as with all my past MacBooks I had the keyboard keys imprinted on the screen if I didn’t. Especially happens while on the move.
Yes I remember this issue. Actually my MBP 2018 has these keyboards keys inprinted on the screen but mostly with dust

it's not an iphone, so nope.. it doesn't need one. Just keep the cat away from it and you should be good.

I can't imagine a scenario where it needs one. These screens are also pretty easy to clean with just a damp, soft cloth.

22 years Powerbook and Macbook user here, never use one. They are not touch screen and not as mobile. You should be just fine.

I do not do it. I was just asking because I know people are doing that.

But this time I will keep the cloth that is between screen and keyboard when you unpacked it. I throw it last time and was regreting that because of imprinted keyboards on screen as someone mention that.
