Fel bad for the people who live in Alameda though, they're covered!
My house!!!

Oh well, I always wanted to live on a house boat. :p

Well, not really, but I may not have much of a choice if I want to stay here. If it stays under 2 meters, I should be OK.

Since the elevation of my house is 6230 ft (1898m) above sea level, I'm not too worried.

Stupid or what, so how will you survive then, popping down to the 7 11 will totally submerged!

So you’ll be ok where you our then! Good for you.

surprisingly being in portland oregon, where i am, at 14m I wouldn't be flooded, of course the economy would die. No shipping ports or the airport and trains.

Apparently, Narragansett Bay isn't big enough for most of Rhode Island's coast to be considered "coastal areas". Never mind that we have more coastline per capita and per square mile. And the America's Cup races were held off of Newport for 100+ years...

Wankers.

Boston and the Cape would be quite ****ed though.

Hmmm. I'm already 5 meters (15 ft) under sea-level (I live in Rotterdam). But I still have dry feet.

I predict that the rest of the world will be swimming and Holland with all its brilliant engineers will be dry as ever :)

Water doesn't scare us!

We're twinned with Rotterdam. If the sea levels start to rise and you've got a brilliant engineer or two going spare, feel free to pop them on the ferry and we'll make good use of them. ;)

When the worst happens you can buy our engineers. We plan on selling them by the pound (kilo?). Hey, if you buy enough you can start building your own
dyke/levee with engineers! The ferries will have to dock in Nijmegen, where I live, anyhow. That'll be the first real port when you head east from Hull....

At 14m I'm just about beachfront:), but I'm guessing the economy would be screwed and my Dad and in-laws'll will probably be moving in 'cause they 'stupidly' live near the sea right now.

I live right next to the Thames in London which allready needs a flood barrier to protect it. So it wouldn't have to rise very far to give my house a nice water feature. Luckily there's a boat I can take refuge on....

At 14m, where I live in Brixton is just safe, but totally surrounded! Everything I love about london will be under water though... and you can forget getting a tube anywhere!

Question time

What country would be completly flooded out if the ocean rose 14 meters
