"I'm curious what other people think."

Although I've been a Mac user since 1987 (and an Apple // user before that), I have no interest in "iOS devices". Never owned an iPod, iPhone, iPad. Probably never will own one.

I do have a [non-smart] cell phone, but it's ALWAYS turned off and used for "emergency purposes only". I don't want people calling me when I'm out and about. Actually, I prefer for folks not to call me at all (answering machine always takes calls at home). I like my privacy.

So, at age 63, I'll probably never have need for a "smartphone". Just not interested.

I -might- pick up an Android device such as the Samsung Galaxy player to take mp3's along on the Harley. I will never buy an iPod because I don't want iTunes trying to "manage" how I organize my music. Right now, still use CD's on the bike's stereo. Works for me.

Well if the world does indeed end on December 21st then at least my first and only 27 inch. iMac is better than nothing.

Bring it on!
