Now that the screen rez is higher, you guys think Apple will allow 720p like it does on the iPad?

Maybe it does it already but I must be blind.

They don't yet, but I bet they will in the near future. Although, I don't think we would notice much difference between 360p and 720p on the iPhone screen...

You will notice. Watch a 720p video that you shot and watch that same thing on YouTube, if you have a YT account.

Youtube videos look like crap on this phone just like it did on my 3GS. At first I thought it was just the fact that the 3GS screen wasn't that great, but now I know it's just YouTube.

Is this only with the YouTube app? Or is it the same with the mobile version in Safari? I have been hearing that the mobile version is better than the app.
