Should start-up much faster the second time - there is some translation caching going on in the background.
I had already run it a few times on Parallels.

I use it mainly for Windows app development and games. So far everything I have thrown at it works well.
It would be interesting to get a list of the apps that do not work well for the people earlier in the post. I have not run into any.
I also have some productivity apps (Offie 365,) Quicken, and some specific Python-based utilities for game modding. All work just fne.
What game is it, though? I'm using an app called ACID Pro, a version of that app that was released before Apple even announced M1 Macs, let alone there being the ability to run it in Parallels..The game we're interested in is listed as not working. I suspect that part of the reason is their DRM. They have no interest in supporting ARM/Mac.
Age of the app doesn't really matter, as much as what APIs the app is using and can ARM Windows compatibility/emulation layer support it.It's an x86 app installed from the purchased CD-ROM disc

It's an x86 app installed from the purchased CD-ROM disc using an Apple SuperDrive. Again, there was no such thing at the time as running this in the scenario we're in now, and the program runs great. It's not a game, but it is a pretty intensive Music Sampling app that works fine with my USB-C connected FocusRite box. They've put zero work into making sure this works fine on Windows on ARM, let alone in a WoA VM on an Apple Silicon Mac.
I love that game, and I spent so much time trying to get it to run in WINE and parallels - no luck. Oddly fallout 4 can run in both, but not 76. I didn't think Bethesda had any anti-cheat built in, and its largely built on the fallout 4 engine, so its odd that it doesn't run.Fallout 76.
