Anyone know how to or even if it is possible to enable wake-on-lan from a wireless device on WIN7 on a Mac mini bootcamp partition? I have enabled wake-on-lan in the Windows lan card settings in device driver screen but it doesn't have any effect.

I want to be able to sleep the Windows bootcamp partition to extend the fan life of Mac minis (which seem to fail after 3-4 years of 24/7 use) and wake it up from a wireless application (JRiver Remote) on my iPhone.

Thanks, Mango. Didn't work, though. Probably something peculiar to do with the Mac EFI/BIOS.

I had the same problem with my Windows install on a 2014 Mac Mini. I found the solution was to ensure that software called Apple Bonjour Services is installed on Windows.

The easiest way is to install iTunes, which includes Bonjour. At some point I forgot about this and uninstalled iTunes. Wake on LAN stopped working until I reinstalled iTunes again.

    Good luck.

No luck with either '09 or '12 mini. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
