Hi,

I am trying to figure how to permanently size the Finder window. Whenever I double click on my HD icon, the window always opens in what I assume is the default size.
Even once I size it to my liking and then open the window at a later time, it is back to default size.
Thanks for any input.

I waited several hours to see if someone else could enlighten you, but I tried to replicate what you're experiencing - and cannot.

If I open a window in Finder, and resize it, when I open another window - in the same computer-on session - the next window is the same size as the previous one. However, if the computer is switched off, as mine was earlier today, then opening a new window has reverted to default size.

That's not an exhaustive test by any means, but I seem to recall this same discussion on another forum, and the answer was that you cannot retain adjusted window sizes if you turn the computer off.
