Wondering if anyone has any experience installing windows 10 through bootcamp on a mac? I'm currently running 8.1 and the upgrade icon just popped up, contemplating whether or not it would be safe to upgrade.
How would i go about installing it? In reserving the free upgrade, would that make me eligible to dl an iso? Does this install need to also be done through bootcamp?

Such install would no longer need to be done through boot camp, although, you may need to reinstall some drivers after upgrading since some of them will be removed during the upgrade process.
If you are already invited, you may use that assistant added on your Windows to download Windows 10 for free (license is another story), and if your Windows 8/8.1 is activated, you will be able to use Windows 10 TRULY for free. Of course, Microsoft has their own SKU upgrade version list, which will be available shortly, I think. That means if your Windows 8/8.1 is simply Windows 8/8.1, not Pro version, you may only be able to use Windows 10 (without Pro features such as group policy). And if you have Media Pack installed, you should check Microsoft site first to see what they would do on Media Pack.
PS: What you may be able to download, is a collection of files, not a single ISO. You may remember when you use ISO to install windows, you need to mount it, click exe file inside it, and start install. Those files are the files you could see when you upgrade from Windows 8/8.1 to Windows 10.

How would you do that? I mean how you install again the drivers which may have been removed during the upgrading process.
I have windows 8.1 on bootcamp. I have seen the windows 10 icon for some time now, actually I have booked already my update. I am a little worried about it. I don't know if somethings will stop working after the update.

I know why you worry about that because even Mac OS X is not exclusive for this matter.
For reinstalling drivers, you need to find your bootable USB drive, and locate "boot camp" folder in the root directory. This folder contains all drivers your computer need.
If you find it difficult to reinstall all drivers manually, simply click setup.exe to do a repair install of boot camp.
