Hi,

I installed Windows 10 (latest ISO downloaded direct from Microsoft: build 19041.264) on a Samsung T5 SSD today through a combination of parallels and "WinToUSB" using a 2018 13 inch Touch Bar MBP.

Windows boots fine from the SSD and I competed the install using a USB mouse and keyboard.

I downloaded the latest Windows support software from the Boot Camp Assistant utility and ran it while Windows was booted. The setup appeared to run fine and appeared to install the correct drivers. However after restarting none appeared to work. No keyboard, trackpad, wifi, bluetooth etc. I've tried running the installer again which prompts "Repair". Restarted a number of times but that doesn't work.

Is this a known issue/is there a workaround? All I really need is the network adapters to work and keyboard and mouse; but for everything to work it would be preferable.

Best regards
OJWK

So you telling us your downloading Windows programs from your Mac?

You should be booted into Windows to download programs to install into Windows!

I understood the most reliable place to get up-to-date bootcamp Windows Support Software was the Mac Boot Camp Assistant utility. Is this not the case?

Why should I be booted into Windows to download the Apple bootcamp executable that installs the relevant drivers? In any case without the drivers installed Windows can't use WiFi to connect to the internet to download said drivers.

Yes!

What do you mean "Yes!"

I downloaded the Windows Support Software package from Apple's Boot Camp Assistant utility and saved to a FAT32 flash disk. I then booted into Windows, copied the files from the flash disk and ran the executable. Everything appeared to install fine but Bootcamp.exe won't launch and mouse keyboard wifi etc do not work.

What are you saying I have done wrong?
