Windows 10, Mail App, icloud, two factor authentication

Here is my issue. I am trying to setup my icloud mail and calendar in Windows 10 mail/calendar apps; however, things are not syncing which I am thinking are due to the fact that I have two factor authentication enabled.

does anyone have any ideas how to work successfully connect the windows 10 apps so they can talk to icloud?

As what I know, you need to create an app specific password for mail app or other apps not supporting two factors authentication.

This did the trick! Thank you. It is amazing that Windows 10 Mail app is 10x better and faster than a native Apple app on Mac OS
